  • Holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore
  • Key member of the working committee that led Cordlife to achieve the first AABB accreditation for its laboratory in Philippines and the first accreditation from College of American Pathologists (CAP) for its India laboratory
  • Also worked with various country teams to successfully achieve multiple re-accreditation from AABB (Singapore and India), CAP (India), GDPMDS (Singapore) and re-licencing by the Ministry of Health (Singapore)
  • Former Research Fellow of Emerging Infectious Disease Program, Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School
  • Former Postdoctoral Research Fellow of Genome Institute of Singapore (A*STAR)
  • Former Research Scientist of Molecular diagnostics section in Environmental Health Institute (National Environment Agency)
  • Former Scientific Officer in Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory & National HIV Reference Laboratory (Singapore General Hospital)
  • Has in-depth experience in laboratory set-ups as well as lab management within both government and diagnostics settings
  • Member of Singapore National Mirror Working Group for ISO/TC 150 (Implant for Surgery), ISO-TC 194 (Biological & Clinical Evaluation of Medical Devices) and ISC/TC 276 (Biotechnology, focusing on Biobanking & Bioprocessing)
  • Member of Haematology Stem Cell Transplant Working Committee (Ministry of Health, Singapore)
  • Has published over 10 peer-reviewed international scientific and medical journals
