The CDA is a special savings account that you open at any OCBC Bank, DBS Bank or UOB Bank branch for your child who is eligible for CDA. You can save in the CDA any time until 31 December in the year your child turns 12 years of age.
The savings will be matched up to the cap of $6,000 each for the first and second child, $12,000 each for the third and fourth child and $18,000 each for the fifth and subsequent child. The Government will match your savings in the following month.
The CDA First Step is a new grant of $3,000 for eligible Singaporean children born from 24 March 2016. It is paid into the child's CDA and forms part of the existing overall Government contribution cap.
The CDA First Step is part of the current Government cap. Beyond this grant, parents who contribute into the CDA will continue to receive dollar-for-dollar matching from the Government, up to the existing Government co-matching contribution caps:

A child is eligible if he or she is:
- born on or after 17 Aug 2008;
- a Singapore Citizen;
- The first child and each child beyond the fourth; and
The mother is lawfully married to the child's father.

This is done only once for the same CDA. You need not submit the application to us for your next subsequent billing.

No, you are not required to pay upon enrolment. However, we will request for your credit card details upon enrolment. In the event that your CDA application is not approved by the bank two (2) months from the actual date of your delivery, Cordlife will bill the fees payable from this credit card provided.
No, there is no limit. You can use CDA up to the amount capped by the savings matched by the Government.

Yes, you can use your child's CDA to pay for his/her sibling's cord blood banking service. Kindly provide the birth certificate of his/her sibling for verification.
